All orders
received after November 30, 2008 will be made starting in the beginning of
January 2009 in the order they are received |
Our candles are handmade at the time your order is
placed so that you receive the best scented candles.
Your candles will arrive to you freshly made! Candles must set before shipping
and you will find the details below on how long this will take. You also have
several shipping options available to you (which is the next question) You will
receive a UPS tracking number when your order ships as long as your order isn't
being shipped to a PO box or APO address. We are open Mondays - Fridays.
Every week we pull together the
orders we received the previous week (from Monday - Sunday) and will make them
all during the week. We combine all orders together so that we can make the
candles that are the same fragrances at one time which saves an enormous amount
of time. Your freshly made candles will finish setting during this same week
and will be available for shipping sometime during the following week. For example, an order is
received on Wednesday. This order will be made the next week and will ship the
week after. The entire process takes approximately 2 weeks. This means that
orders received on Friday-Sundays will have the quickest turnaround time.
There may be times where it takes long to make your order, such as extremely
large orders or if a fragrance oil or particular container is delayed by the
manufacturer however this is not common.
In the Spring & Summer -
During hot weather, orders can only ship the
beginning of the week. This is to prevent your order from sitting on a hot
UPS truck over the weekend which is not good for the candle. If you candle
has not finished setting at the beginning of the week when orders are ready to
ship, it will have to ship the next week. This is rare however.
In the Fall -
From September - November and the first few weeks of January
is our very very busy season. This is when orders will take the longest to
make due to the volume of orders and also delays from the manufacturer of the
fragrance oil or containers (as it is their busy season as well). This is
the time of year orders may take an extra week to make - meaning that the entire
process may take 3 weeks. This isn't common but does happen

We generally ship UPS. We ship all these orders with
tracking. The shipping table below applies to continental U.S. orders
only. APO orders will take longer to arrive. Hawaii, Alaska, and
Canada will have additional shipping charges which the shopping cart will
indicate. We do not charge a handling fee.
Shipping candles is expensive due to the
weight. We typically charge much less than it actually
costs us. The more you order, the more money you save from
actual shipping costs!

We know that you might like to try a scent before buying a
large jar. We recommend it!
Our Baby Jar Sampler,
gives you the chance to try any 6 scents (they don't have to be the same scent) at a
discounted price. Baby Jars are
a smaller size jar candle (votive size). This gives you the opportunity to
try out a variety of scents in a smaller size (and of course a cheaper price!).
We have a great soy seeding
sampler available that gives you a chance to sample over 25 scents at a low
price.
We also have a great loyalty program that awards your
with coupons - its free to join
and you are automatically enrolled with a purchase - Click
here for details
Don't forget to enter the candle drawing
for free candles! - Enter Here
Last but not least, we also have no minimum order allowing
you to purchase as little or as much as you like!
We do know there are companies out there offering a few
"free" samples. Of course those samples really aren't free. You pay
for those samples through the higher prices of the bigger jar candles.
We've decided we prefer not to overcharge for the popular large jars and allow
you the choice of purchasing baby jars to sample in as many scents as you would
like before buying the larger jars.
We offer a full guarantee of our products. If you
are not satisfied with your purchase simply return the products (you pay for
shipping) along with the reason for return within 14 days of purchase. We
will offer your choice of a like (equal value - i.e. same product but different
scent) merchandise exchange (shipping is additional) or a refund.
Please make sure you have read over the burning tips before returning, including
the two most important: waiting a week before burning your candles for the 1st
time to allow your scent to cure (giving you strong scent throw) and keeping
your wicks trimmed!!
Returned products MUST BE packed securely or a refund /
exchange will not be issued. You may want to insure your return. We
cannot be responsible for lost or misdirected returns.
WE DO NOT CHARGE A RESTOCK FEE!!
Products may not be returned if more than 25% of the
product has been used.
Please ship all returns to:

usually requires seeing the package.
Wax Melts are definitely smell the strongest. Of
course, each scent will vary but wax melts for your burner will have the largest
scent throw. For jar candles, the larger the jar candle, the larger the
melt pool and therefore the best scent throw. The tiny soysprouts are
meant for sampling scents to see if you like them, not for filling up a room
with fragrance
Because your candles are just recently made for you,
we strongly recommend allowing your candles to sit a week after you receive
before you burn them for the first time. This is to allow the candle to
cure for optimal throw. If you burn right away, chances are the scent throw will
not be as strong. Make sure you read the full soy
burning tips!!

We use all natural wicks
A candle will only hold a certain amount of fragrance.
Triple scented means that 1.5 ounces of fragrance oil per pound of wax is used
as opposed to the standard of .5 ounces of fragrance oil per pound of wax. That
is what makes it triple the fragrance and a stronger scent.
The two most important tips are:
**Keeping your wick trimmed to 1/4"**
**and giving your candle a memory burn - see below**
Why is my scent throw not strong?
My candle burned straight down?
Why do I have wax left at the
bottom?
Because your candles are just
recently made for you, we strongly recommend allowing your candles to sit a week
after you receive before you burn them for the first time. This is to
allow the candle to cure for optimal throw. If you burn right away, chances are
the scent throw will not be as strong.
When burning a candle for the first time, it is important to give
it a "memory burn". You should burn the candle for 1 hour for each inch of its
diameter. Example: a candle 3" in diameter should be burned for three hours to
establish its "memory". This allows your jar candle to
establish a full melt pool increasing the scent throw. If a candle isn't
given a proper memory burn (meaning if your candle is burned for a short period
of time), it will "Core Burn" down the center and a good scent throw cannot be
achieved. Also, you'll be left with wax at the bottom and
at the side.
Drafts or extreme room temperatures can cause uneven burn. The
wick must always be kept centered. If a wick should ever move to one side while
burning, extinguish candle, and reposition wick to the center. Also make sure
your wick is centered each time you extinguish your candle.
Votive problems
Votives must be burned
in an appropriate votive holder. If not
burned in an appropriate holder, votives will completely liquefy in about 1/2
hour, leaving a big puddle of molted wax!
My wick is burning itself out?
Keep the wick trimmed
to 1/4" Try not to trim the wick too short though, as the flame can drown when
the wax melts around the wick and that can cause a wick to burn itself out.
Black Soot
No candle can be soot free, but soy wax candles do
have less soot and more importantly no toxins in the soot. Black soot is
caused by a candle that is smoking (in our candles this is typically from too
long of a wick!)
There could be several reasons why you are getting black soot. First
and very importantly, make sure that you trim
the wick to 1/4" each and every time before you light your candle.
Second, make sure that you are not burning
your candle in a draft. Any draft of wind will make the candle flame flicker and
smoke. Third, when you are trimming your
candle wicks, do not leave the trimmings in the candle wax . This will cause
black soot. Fourth, ensure that there is
enough air space around your candle. Do not burn in a cubby or
bookshelf. This inhibits the amount of oxygen that is getting to the wick of the
candle and will cause black soot to form.
Wick Off-Center
A wick can burn off-center especially if your wick
is not trimmed. If an off-center wick is causing your candle to burn unevenly,
simply move the extinguished wick to the center
of the candle with a metal spoon while the wax is still soft.
